'Teumig' goes back to the Middle Dutch 'tomich' and is related to words such as 'tomi' and 'tôm' from older languages and language phases that mean 'empty'. Ultimately, 'empty' mainly came to mean 'nothing to do', 'not busy', 'quiet'.
'Tied' is the Drenthe word for 'time'.
So you can come to us to relax and enjoy a quiet time.
Klijndijk
Klijndijk is a village in the province of Drenthe, municipality of Borger-Odoorn and is located in a wooded area on the edge of the Valtherbos. Valthe is also called the geological pearl of Drenthe and is located in the middle of the Hondsrug. The Drenthe word Teumig means calm, tranquil. Peace and space in Drenthe, a beautiful province to spend your free time in.
Klijndijk is located 6 km. north of Emmen. The area is ideal for walking and cycling trips. You are within cycling distance of Exloo, Borger, Odoorn, Emmen.

Our two holiday apartments are furnished almost identically, suitable for 4 people and have the following facilities:

Tourist tax € 1.75 pppd all ages.

In the area
The area around the apartment is an ideal place for walkers, cyclists and those seeking peace and quiet. The swimming pool and playground on the grounds of the Capfun holiday park are within walking distance. There are beautiful walks or bike rides to take. The nature reserve “Molenveld” between Odoorn and Exloo is nearby, where many hiking trails have been set out and where a herd of Drenthe heath sheep from the sheepfold in Exloo runs. Here you will also find the beautiful open-air swimming pool “De Leewal”. Many cycling routes have also been mapped out. Plant and animal lovers can also indulge themselves in this area. There are beautiful, large heathlands with juniper bushes in the area. Furthermore, the nearby area has numerous daytime attractions such as Wildlands in Emmen, the Veenpark in Barger-Compascuum, Dolmen Center in Borger, Boomkroonpad, Kabouterland... In short, something to experience for everyone!

Sheep flock Exloo
Exloo has traditionally had a flock of sheep. In the past, the sheep were owned by various farmers. The shepherd (or “shepherd”) collected the sheep in the morning and brought them back in the evening. This unique and beautiful walk straight through the village is still there.
Veenhuizen Prison Museum

About the owners: Jan & Ria
We are Jan and Ria Muller and have been together since September. 2020 the happy owners of two holiday homes in Drenthe, Klijndijk, municipality of Borger-Odoorn. We live in a beautiful, wooded area on the edge of the village and that is why we have converted our former furniture workshop into 2 holiday homes. Our houses are a great base for walking and cycling in the beautiful nature of Drenthe. Plenty of adventure for children too.
